Everything you NEED to know about Love Island Winter
Love Island Winter Edition is upon us, bringing that summer vibe back to our screens because we’ve all missed it so much. The bad news is that Ovie obviously won’t be back this year, rumour has it though ITV2 have done all they can to bring another batch of heartbreakers to the Love Island Winter Villa.
Where is the Love Island Winter Villa?
The BRAND NEW Love Island Winter Villa is situated in Cape Town, South Africa. According to many reports, it’s a new build that has been designed to be twice the size of its Spanish counterpart and at least ten times more lavish. One thing we can be sure of is that the new villa is going to be absolute home goals.
Rumour has it, the owners of the villa are only charging ITV £104,000.00 per month to use it. Think of all the glitz and glam that could buy!
When does Love Island Winter start?
NOT SOON ENOUGH! The official start date and the first broadcast and launch party is set to land on ITV2 on Sunday the 12th of January 2019, just under two weeks into the new year. As it stands, we’re not so sure what time you’ll need to be watching, so to make sure you don’t miss a thing, we suggest you spend the whole of that Sunday in front of the telly, I guess there’s worse things to be doing though right?
What do we know so far?
Well, after a controversial end to 2019, we know Caroline Flack isn’t going to be hosting Love Island Winter 2020. Flack is set to be replaced by the lovely Laura Whitmore, the partner of Iain Sterling, the beloved voice of Love Island and of course. It’s also been confirmed that Iain is back for the 2020 edition of the show too!
Laura is an Irish TV presenter and best known for her role in I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here NOW! And Survival of the Fittest. She’s even provided the commentary for Eurovision before now.
We don’t yet know anything more about the contestants for Love Island Winter, ITV is doing a great job of keeping all of the juicy info a real secret at the moment, though we hope to see some more rumours start to surface as we enter the new year. We can guess however that the boys and girls of Love Island Winter will be as feisty as those recruited for Love Island in previous years. Powerful, stunning and no doubt willing to stab a view backs and turn a few heads to get in the couples that they want.
Love Island Winter’s producers are set to fly out to Cape Town on the 2nd of January 2019, therefore we can guess the contestants will only be a couple of days behind them, which means we should know more by the first week of January.
Clothes, Clothes, Clothes
We’re obsessed with fashion and we can’t wait to see what awesome get-ups will come out of this latest season of Love Island. Though we’re stuck in an eternal dark and gloomy winter, Cape Town’s average January high of 29c means we’re sure to see some incredible pre-summer fashions surface as a result of this, including even more of those awesome Rewired caps that launched during Love Island 2019, last summer!
Twin sets, pool fashion, beachwear. Why can’t it be summer 2020 already?
